Can a rental item be repossessed from the home without an adult present?
I am behind on rent on an item obtained from a rental center. As of today, it is 1 week behind. Te center sent someone out the the address to collect the item. At the time neither the mother or the father was present, so my 16 year old son gave the item back.

Repossession can occur when someone has given authority to enter the home. Your son is 16, so he may be old enough in the eyes of the law to allow entry into the home to allow for repossession. Bottom line is though your rental paperwork probably states that even if you are one day behind, the rental center has authority to repossess. I don't believe there have been any legal violations herein.
