The required notice by a landlord prior to entering a tenant's rental property varies from state to state.  Florida requires twelve hours notice.  This is for a non-emergency situation.  If it an emergency, no notice is required.

You can sue the landlord for breach of the covenant of quiet enjoyment for violating the notice requirement for entering your rental.  The covenant of quiet enjoyment is in every lease and means that a tenant cannot be disturbed in his/her use and enjoyment of the premises.
