Can a homeowner of a town home be responsible for treating neighbors houses for bedbugs?

I own a town home, that has somehow got
bedbugs. Do I have to tell my neighbors if I am
having it treated? Am I in anyway legally
responsible, can I be sued?

IF the neighbor gets bedbugs AND they can show (e.g. with the expert opinion of an exterminator) that the bedbugs more likely than not came from your unit, they can very likely hold you liable for their treatment costs. But they would need to be infested and would need to show causation to reasonably be able to hold you responsible.
