Can a company fire someone if they did not vote in presidential election?

Our CEO has threatened firing employees who to not participate in the
upcoming presidential election. We are a company with 100 employees. Is
this legal?

Actully it can. That is unless this action violates the terms of an employment contract or union agreement. Also, this treatment must not constitute any form of legally actionable discrimination. Otherwise, most employment is "at will" which means that a company can impose the conditions of employment much as it sees fit. This includes requiring that worker vote in an upcoming election. In fact, in some states, an employer can let it be known which candidate it favors. Bottom line, as a general rule, a business can terminate an employee for any reason or no reason at all.
