Under the laws of all states in this country a minor child cannot deny visitation to his or her parent. Rather, the court makes an order on each visitation issues on a case by case basis. However, under the legal system in this coutnry when a child reaches the age of thirteen (13) or so, courts listen to the desires of the child more and more in making their decisions on visitation issues.
