Besides workers compensation, what else is my dad entitled to if he wasred on the job and is in critical now?

My dad was at work and the guy operating the front loader reversed into him pinning him against his own truck. My dad is in critical condition with crushed ribs, broken sternum, broken scapula and a few thoracic fractures. His entire chest was crushed. We have been told that because the guy operating the loader is a coworker we will not be able to do anything except get workers comp. What can we do about my dads future? He may never work again. He is the head of household and has always been the provider for us. Wat next?

You need to immediately get a lawyer who handles and has expertise in both workers compensation and personal injury cases like this. Ultimately, if this is a company that needs to be OSHA compliant for example, and this act was not OSHA compliant, the company could absolutely be sued for not just workers compensation but total disability is the most likely outcome.
