Must I return my engagement ring to my fiancé of 2 years with whom I live?
We live together now for 5 months and now his whole tribe of family is staying with us. There has been no negotiating when it comes to his family and now its unbearable for me to live here and seems he is choosing his family over me. I can’t live like this and “I” will break the engagement. I however feel the ring is mine as I have put in my dues. Legally what is the proper thing to do?

An engagement ring is deemed a gift in contemplation of marriage. If you break the engagement, it is likely that he will be entitled to the return of the ring since the contemplated marriage will not take place. A five year engagement does sound a bit lenghth,
