I work for this company as an employee and a contractor. the guy is sueing the company. Can they retaliate and fire me and end their verbal cleaning contract with me? Why would they retaliate against you -- because you would testify against them?

What does your contractual agreement state? Can you be fired only for cause? What does your employee handbook say? If you are concerned, pose an inquiry to the Virginia Dept of Labor or consult with a private labor lawyer about your particular situation.  Try www.attorneypages.com to locate a lawyer and check his or her record at the Virginia State Bar.
