As a manager of a business, can I legally write on the side window of a vehicle in the business parking lot with an erasable marker?

Private business parking lot with controlled entrance. Would be doing this only for vehicles believed to be abandoned to notify the owner they have 48 hrs to move it or it will be towed. We do not track employee vehicles so have no way of knowing who it belongs to.

If your erasable marker turns out to NOT be so erasable, you will be liable for any cost to repaint, etc. you cause. Furthermore, even if erasable, you have no right to write on another's property and could technically be committing vandalism. You are much better off just leaving a note under the windshield wipers.
