Are there any time limits an employer must follow when giving a write-up?

I was told employers only had 7 business days to write you up. I wanted to know if this is true?

No, it is not true. The  law does not provide any disciplinary process for  employers; it is up to each employer to set its own disciplinary process, including  whether, how, and when to write-up employees for any infractions. Moreover, if you do not have an employment contract, you are an "employee at will," and an employer may discipline an employee at will however it likes, whenever it likes--so it may write you up at any time; demote you or reduce pay; transfer you; suspend you; or even terminate you, whenever it chooses to do so, if you do not have an employment contract.
