Am I required to take care of a wife that has MS during a divorce?

Starting divorce proceedings and wife says I still have to take care of her even though it is starting a very volitile situation.

Under the laws of all states in this country, you are to take care of your wife financially pending any dissolution decree (temporary or final) in that most likely she and you jointly have interests in the assets of your marriage. As to physically taking care of her, that is another matter.

You mention that your wife has "MS". From a moral perspective, even though you two might not be getting along too well, you married her and should try to assist her given her health condition even though doing so could be difficult.

I suspect that the court would look favorably upon you if you in fact assisted your wife pending the dissolution proceeding. If you do not yet have a family law attorney helping you, I suggest that you retain one soon.
