A child does not inherit debt. Therefore, no you are not responsible for you deceased mother's medical bills. That is unless you specifically agreed to be (i.e. you singed a contract, promissory note, or the like). However, her estate is liable for them, at least to the extent there are enough assets to cover the bills. If not the unpaid amount of these debts will extinguish as a matter of law.
