Am I required to return my uniform?

My old job which has a logo on their work uniform gave me some clothes for my job work uniform. Am I legally required to return it to them now that my employment is over? No written agreement about the uniform was ever signed and I work in maintenance so the clothes are pretty dirty paint stains. They treated me very poorly and unprofessionally when I gave them a 2 week notice and they let me go the same day. So at this point all common courtesies are out the window in my mind.

As far as your last paycheck, your ex-employer cannot withhold your wages for failure to return your uniform. If they do, they would be violating numerous state and federal laws. However, if they chose they could sue you for return of the uniform or at least for the cost of it (although unlikely, it is a possiblity).
