Am I legally obligated to pay sales tax after the purchase if the selling business made a mistake?
I purchased an off road utility vehicle brand new from a dealership near where I reside. We had an agreed upon out the door tax/title/license price which I paid in cash. It is now 1 month later and the dealer called and said they forgot to charge sales tax and the price is actually over $1000 more than the agreed upon price. What are my options?

IF you had a written agreement with or documentation from them stating that the price *included* sales tax, if they forgot to calulate it properly, that is their problem: having agreed that the price included sales tax, they need to now satisfy the tax obligation.
But that's only if the agreement or documentation stated that tax was included. If it did not and they simply forgot to add it in, you have to pay the sales tax, since absent an agreement to the contrary, sales tax is paid by the buyer.
