Am I entitled to receive unemployment if I still get a severance paycheck for 9 weeks?

I was let go due to a lay off. I am still getting a pay check every 2 weeks for 2 months due to a lay off. Not sure if I can collect unemployment yet.

Severance is typically a lump-sum or regular payment given to employees by some companies when they terminate employment. When an employee is laid off from a job and receives severance pay, it can impact their unemployment benefits; it can depend on specific state law.
