If your vehicle was damaged or totaled due to a fire the insurance company should cover you for the damage less your deductible. You must have had comprehensive coverage on the vehicle at the time of the loss for this damage to be covered. You should discuss this with your agent as well as with the adjuster. Make sure you had the correct insurance on the truck. If you did, then you should ask to speak with a supervisor to explain why your insurance claim was denied. Since there are no details as to the cause of the fire, it is possible that it was considered an arson fire, and that could have the insurance company concerned as to who started the fire. However, they should make a complete review of the claim and explain if they are denying due to the cause of the fire.If you cannot get a satisfactory answer from the insurance company, you may want to call the Dept of Insurance and have them open a review of the claim.
