If you quit your job while your spouse is pregnant and get another job with insurance, is the pregnancy considered pre-existing condition or would she NULL

Pregnancy can never be pre-xd on group health.  Whatever coverage the new employer has for pregnancy would be available to you on the first day of your health coverage starting at your new job.   This is the one thing they can never pre-x, even if you’ve never had other coverage for it… ever.  You could sign up the day before the birth, and they’d have to cover it ( provided your benefits kicked in a day one, but you get my point ).

 

I’ve had many people start up their own business and shown them how to get group health by installing a 105 plan and hiring their spouse as an employee, paid only in benefits.  It’s a group of two, so it’s small group, which is guarantee issue. 

 

The best thing about it is, because of their rules, you can keep the coverage through the pregnancy and birth, then drop it and go to a different plan that’s more affordable ( when you own your own business and own the plan, not when you are on another company’s plan as an employee ).
