If you have been hit in an accident, and the other driver is not responding to your calls, you should go ahead and contact her insurance company to report the claim. They may not proceed until they hear from their driver, but it will get them to be in touch with her to get her version of the story.Since you didn’t have insurance on your car, it may be difficult to settle. Canada may have other rules about driving without insurance. However, if they let you into the country without proof of insurance, it may not have been an issue to them. You can continue to follow up with the insurance company, but, again, they will not proceed with the claim until they talk to their insured. You may want to continue calling her to make sure that she does actually report the claim to her company. Until she does you will have to wait for any settlement from her insurance company.
