I had Chubb homeowners insurance for 7 years,had 2 claims in the last 3 years and I get a notice that they are not renewing my policy, no warning, no communication, the last claim was filed wrong, under the wrong category and that is why they are not renewing my policy. Nobody ever bother to come in and look or even call and ask questions. We called them and they were horrible on the phone no one to talk to. Buyer beware!

Chubbs policy is just not to pay commercial insurance claims but to force you to court

After a minor car parking accident (first claim in 30 years) Chubb refused to insure us further. This action would be illegal in many countries.

After 20 years with this company in their Masterpiece program, we had two claims last year. We just received a notice that they are not renewing our policy. What’s the point of having insurance if they are going to drop you when you file a claim.

We don’t feel that we were treated faily after Hurricane Ike. We had a lot of roof damage and we are having to fight to get a new roof as well as reimbursement for the temporary patching done.

Our Chubb policy is through an insurance broker. I have been satisified up until now. We are up for renewal. No surprise, in 2009 our home is worth less than when our policy was written in 2003. I understand the value Chubb placed on our house is for the cost of rebuilding. I find it hard to believe the cost of rebuilding my house is 20% higher than the curent market value of my home. Chubb isn’t budging on their number saying the cost of building materials and labor hasn’t gone down. I am shopping around to see what else is out there.

Chubb is my employer’s worker’ comp carrier. They paid 8 weeks and then stopped payment because a doctor’s report was late. Once they received the report the examiner went on vacation and didn’t cut the check. It’s been 5 weeks since I’ve gotten paid. Why not penalize the doctor for the late report instead of the claimiant? I’m already injured. No prescription cards for medication until after 3 months. I couldn’t afford to pay for the medication so I had to function in pain for three months and now that I got the prescription card, they cutoff my benefits for a late medical report which, by the way, was submitted but the examiner is out of the office and no one can cover him while he is out.
I guess after winning the lottery no one is competent anymore…….

Claims are run by contractors estimaters. Not responsive, poor quality, inconsistent, orientated toward settling low or sue mentality. Wear you down with time and non-responsiveness to needs. Claims agent promised certain things when at residence to review claim. Contractors changed the scope to much les, and the policyholder is caught in the middle.

Well lets just say the tractor has been fixed for months but I cant get it because they will not pay and not because they deny the claim. When I spoke with the shop owner he informed me that they had issued a check and then put a stop payment on it and he has not been able to speak with them since. I am at the point of going postal. The adjuster lied to me and thats when I began to lose patience.

Chubb has been very slow responding to our first and only claim. It has been 10 weeks since our loss and Chubb has yet to respond with a payout for our claim. We are very disappointed as we have been told that Chubb is the best we are unimpressed and will probably move to another company once our claim has been settled. Do your self a favor and look elsewhere. They are more expensive than other providers and not worth the additional expense.

They billed me and sent me a certificate of insurance for an Engagement ring. Then they told my insurance broker that they made a mistake and will not write a stand alone policy although they billed me 2x sent a cert of insurance and never sent me any coorespondence saying the policy did not stand. Then it took months to get my money back and they have yet to send me the full amount I paid

They forced me to sue them . Jury trial 10000000.00 verdict in MY FAVOR and now they want to appeal.They tried to deny they delayed they defended and LOST and still wont pay these are BAD GUYS . that do not deserve the good reputatation they HAD

They denied jewelry loss that was given as gifts that were insured as a result of a theft claiming. Ultimately will have to sue to get a fair settlement.

I have had to file unfortunately two claims for water damage in my home. Chubb was very responsive and flexible. Their evaluators come in right away and give you recommendations. They cared a lot about me and making sure i got the right assessment and treatment.

I made a workman’s comp claim was fired just minutes after making the claim and never heard from Chubb again. They never denied or accepted my claim just lawyered up.

Chubb has been good over the last 20 years. I have a problem and they take care of it. Have made 2 small claims successfully. However their rates keep going up and up. They raise the value of your home and the cost of your policy each renewal. Currently my home is 25% over insured and they do not want to reduce the coverage.

In December of 2012 my car was in a minor collision with another car. The police were called but no ticket was given no one was hurt and we drove our cars away. 6 months later I hear from Chubb that they are raising my auto insurance rates by 40% because they paid 1300. to the driver of the other vehicle in the December incident. This is ridiculous. I am shopping for new insurance. I have had homeowners insurance and auto insurance for 15 years with Chubb. I filed one claim for water damage homeowners and it was handled without any problem.

Rather than properly adjusting our claim we were subjected to a bad attitude and arguments from the Claims Adjuster and then we got the letter from Chubb stating we had been discontinued for insurance coverage.Totally outrageous after being a high-end customer for more than 5 years.

Worst Insurance company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They ignore facts intentionally misinterpret medical reports and routinely deny prefectly legitimate claims as part of their normal operating procedure. Avoid this company at all cost Oh and don’t just take my word for it do a google seach and see that they have been investigated for these same practices before. Nothing but scam artist

Chubb is my employers’ workers comp carrier. I had a claim for a back injury dating back to 2006 and was awarded permanent medical benefits by my state’s workers comp board. I had surgery which did not work did physical therapy then finally started getting pain relief by chiropractic adjustments since 2008. Suddenly I have been informed by Chubb they will no longer pay for the chiropractice visits because I am not improving they are only helping my pain Well guess what if I were not in pain I never would have filed a claim in the first place. This makes no sense and now I will have to complain to my state’s insurance board as well as the workers’ comp board and request a hearing.

I am in an area that was hit by the hardest wind gusts on the US Coast during hurricane Sandy 96mph Over 10 leaks and much water damage to home. Chubb sends out a guy who claims to be an engineer but is not licensed and has the nerve to say that no damage was done by the hurricane and faded shingles on a 30 year old roof are the result of numerous repairs when the roof was never repaired -never leaked. Meanwhile I have been trying to get this resolved for over a year. After the lawsuite -I will find another company.

Chubb Insurance is the worst insurance company I’ve ever dealt with in my 25 years of being an insured policy holder of auto home. The adjusters are trained to avoid settling claims in a timely manner they avoid your phone calls rude when you speak with them and find every excuse in the book to not pay out any money when evidence is clear – they should. Chubb Insurance is a SCAMMING COMPANY DO NOT INSURE WITH THIS COMPANY IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR QUALITY SERVICE

I became eligible for workers comp after my wife died in car accident on the job. The case was clear, the benefit straight forward and calculated relatively promptly. 38 weeks latter working with a second adjuster the benefit is still not paid. What’s wrong with these people I am convinced they are playing delaying tactics to see if I will give up unacceptable, this benefit was supposed to compensate for the loss of income of my spouse. Her loss meant that our family income was divided by half over night and college bills are still coming… Shame on them

Chubb is a great company. The insurance isnt cheap, but they they really do a great job when you need them. I would recommend high deductibles as a way to off higher premiums.

My house had hail damage. Chubb offered less than 30k for the repairs. We hired an insurance claims consultant. A year and a half later Chubb has agreed to pay over 250k and I’m still fighting with Chubb who obviously goes out of their way to not pay claims. They are a joke. A year and a half of negotiating with Chubb. Absurd.

They will total a vehicle based on book value EVEN THOUGH it has an agreed value of more than double that. They prefer their estimate done through an approved shop even though…the shop is well known to be the most expensive in Bucks County PA where I live. Very minor damage from deer which is barely seen…car BMW drives perfectly and no system warnings etc…they of course have charged the highest rates of any company for years now…and DO NOT insure your home with them…they will insist your home value is 3 or 4 times what it is actually worth for a higher premium of course….They want the title to the car which is worth more in parts alone than they are paying AND they try to scare you about getting it repaired at a more reasonable shop and the insist on a salvage title which of course they won’t insure…so basically…a cracked headlight with minor bumper damage is a total loss on a low mileage BMW that drives perfectly and has damage barely visible.
