Insurance Question from Lake Buena Vista, FL

Asked on 11/22/2011

Can I email someone my public liability quote to look over and make sure it is ok. We had a hard time getting one in the first place due to a **** charge and now we have been offered insurance for $10,000,000 public liability and it is very cheap.

We are unable to view the actual quote for approval.  However, we can give you some tips on getting a quote.  Make sure you do your comparison shopping.  Make sure the insurance company is in good financial standings.  Check them out on sites like AM Best and Standard and Poors. There are standard exclusions with most insurance policies that you buy. These are a few of the common policy exclusions for public liability policy.  See some below:

Property belonging to the insured Defective workmanship Damage as a result of any advice, design or specification given unless part of an ‘overall contract’ Deliberate acts

These exclusions may vary from insurer to insurer. You did not say what type of business you have. If you are unsure whether a public liability insurance policy covers you for a particular aspect of your business, you should always check this information with your insurer or broker before buying. Make sure the policy covers you needs.
