What are the requirements/parameters for making a claim on workmen’s comp insurance with an employer? NULL

Presuming your employer has workers compensation insurance, you are required to tell your employer as soon as possible of any injury caused by your employment.  It is best to tell your employer immediately after the injury occurs, unless you have to go to the hospital due to the injury.

Even if you do not tell your employer of your injury until several days or weeks after the injury, you are still covered by workers compensation insurance.  However, you cannot continue to work  if you have been injured on the job without advising your employer.  This protects both you and your employer.  Do not expect your employer to pay your salary and medical bills for your injury if you have not advised them of the loss.
