Consumer Complaint:

We had a storage unit broken in to on June 7, 2008. We filed a police report that night and then a claim with our insurance company the next business day. The Investigator is dragging his feet on looking into our claim and assigning values to our valuables that were stolen. It has been over 3 months since the theft happened and the investigator is still \”looking into it\”. We have talked to our agent, sent e-mails to our agent and to the investigators supervisor. We are still no further along than we were when we filed the claim.

It is taking too long. Write a polite but strong letter to the Senior VP for Claims at Liberty Mutual and complain and ask why nothing has been paid while they figure out any remaining details. One warning -- IF they suspect the claim is fraudulent, it's time to see a lawyer.
