When it states written notice in a contract, is it a legitimate notice if I am messaged on Facebook?

The person I’m buying my house from sent me s notice on Facebook. Does that count?

"Written notice" is broadly interpreted to include any reasonable mode of written communication.  Therefore, a written message on Facebook that provides you notice would be sufficient even though it may not be the preferred choice for written communication at the present.
