What to do about being on 100% disability and Intensive probation at the same time.

My husband is on 100% disability and Intensive probation at the same time. The probation officer is insisting he must work while on IPS. He Can’t work, that is why he is on 100% disability! He has very little use of his arms. He has been diagnosed as “One sneeze away from being a paraplegic” The probation officer has threatened my husband will have to do his eight yr sentence. They stay he has to work to stay out of trouble. He is 58 yr old man, who commited a white collar crime. We don’t know what to do, we can’t afford a lawyer. I am disabled as well. Can you give us any helpful advice? TY

We cannot give you direct legal advice because it would be considered malpractice.  You need to sit down with a lawyer (you need to) and consult about your situation.  Try www.attorneypages.com and check his or her record at the Arizona State bar.  Or you can call legal aid in the county in which he is on probation.
