The best way to ascertain what legal licenses that you need to start an online store is to consult with a business attorney in the locality where you reside and go down to the county business department for registration of a fictitious name and to pick up other paper work to complete to see what may be needed to start your enterprise.

You might also consider creating a limited liability company and/or a corporation for your enterprise.
