May I STRONGLY suggest that you take whatever settlement proposal you are being offered and bring it to an attorney to review on your behalf.  Spending the money may end up saving you more grief down the road.  Never the less, pensions are generally distributed via what is known as a QDRO, Qualified Domestic Relations Order.  You need to have one prepared ater the divorce is final and submit it to his pension plan administrator.  The language needs to be approved.  Please get help.  Good luck.
