What happens if home is in one spouses name and he changes mortgage before divorce papers are filed. house built while married and child involved.

What will happen to my investment in a
home built while married but mortgage
in spouses name. Have been living
seperated for over a year but no
divorce paperwork started. Child
involved and we have lived in house
throughout seperation.

You need to seek legal help on this matter.  Tell your attorney.  The house will be disputed.  A proerty purchased or built during a marriage is considered marital property regardless of whose name it is in.  Changing the mortgage to your detriment should be counted against him.  But the facts will matter.  Good luck.
