What are the risks associated with putting my name on my friend’s vehicle?

Associated risks of you being owner of recod on your friend's vehicle is that if there is an accident involving the vehicle you could be sued and if there is no insurance for the vehicle your own assets could be subject to risk of being lost in such a lawsuit.
