If we filed bankruptcy 9 months ago and it was discharged 2 months ago, can we collect an inheritence without the trustee taking it?

Is it 6 months from discharge or from when we filed? My husband’s grandma passed and we will get a samll inheritance.

Too many questions are unanswered.  When was the 341 meeting? ( trustee meeting or meeting of creditors)?  Did you know of the possiblity of your relatives demise( for which I offer my sympathy) at the time?  Did you know of the possiblity of an inheritance at the meeting?  Did you answer truthfully?  When did you recieve notice?  When is the inheritance expected to be recieved?  How much will it be?  Is it in probate court?  If so. when will distribution be expected.  Did you have a lawyer assist in the filing of the petition?  If so, contact he or she for district and state specific guidelines.
