How long do I have to wait to get remarried?

What is the waiting period for a divorce to be final. I have been separated for 25 or more years want to

get a divorce ASAP.

I am assuming that this an uncontested and no-fault divorce, correct?  ANd that you meet the one year residency requirement in Vermont to file?  So those both being true, Vermont allows you to file once you have been separated 6 months (you fit that bill) and then the matter is finalized 6 months after that.  However, there is a waiting period AFTER the final decree of 90 days (meaning you are really not divorced until 90 days after the final decree is signed).  Good luck.
