If I was refunded $400 for overpayment of charges on my hospital bill but it is now saying that it was a mistake and it wants it back, am I responsible for repayment?

Under the laws of all states in this country if someone receives payment for something that they are not legally entitled to the person receiving such is required to return what is not due him or her or be subject to a lawsuit seeking its return.
