Question about Married Name Change in New York State

Is there a requirement in New York State for how soon you have to legally change your name SS card, license, etc. after the wedding? I already have the marriage certificate confirming I have selected to change my surname, but due to schedule issues, work projects, etc. I’d like to wait to around two months beyond the wedding date.

No, there is no requirement in regards to when you have to change you name (and SS card, driver's license, etc.) after the wedding--in fact, you are not required to change your name at all. If you do choose to change it, it is up to you when to do this.
