What to do if my son receivd Minor in Consumption but the entire group of 17-18 year olds were sleeping at the time the PD came into the home?

Yes, they where drinking earlier but they where all sleeping when the PD came in. There is evidence of alcohol in the home they were at. How much do you think the fine will be? What if the date of service on the citation for the court appearance we will be out of the country?

If your son was cited for possession of an alcoholic substance as a minor, he needs to consult with a criminal defense attorney as to the best way to resolve the charges against him as well as setting forth a viable defense. I have no idea what the fine will be in your jurisdiction if he is convicted. Most likely in California the fine would be $1,000 for a simila matter.

If the court appearance date is such where you will be out of the country, you need to hire a criminal defense attorney to make the court appearance for him or try and get the initial court hearing date continued.
