What are my rights if y ex-boyfriend gave me a professional camera for my birthday last month but we just broke up and now he wants it back?

I have texts that prove right around my birthday that he calls it “my camera” and that I should pick it up. Can he sue me for its return when it was clearly a gift?

He can sue you but he will not get the camera back.  Gifts belong to their recipient.  If you can prove it was a gift, you will win if he sues you.
