How do you get a divorce decree modified?
My divorce decree states I can’t leave the county I live in unless my ex leaves first. I have been divorced for 4 years. Can I have that changed now?

Generally, modification of a divorce degree can be had any time there is a change in circumstances. Loss of a job, a better job, relocating for a better job, etc. You need to bring documentation to the court to prove your change in circumstances. May I ask: is the order written as such because your ex has custody of children? I fail to see any other reason as to why you would be precluded from moving until your ex moves. But I would go and see an attorney about the modification to make sure that you have grounds for same. Good luck.
