Likely ‘punishment’ for a first time offense

Due to loitering in a private area
a cop pulled into the area and
asked to search my car. I denied
but agreed to an external dog
search. They then proceeded to
search my car and found a small
amount of marijuana and some
paraphanella. I was give a cition
for misdemeanor possession and
misdemeanor paraphanella. I have 0
criminal record drugs or
otherwise. What is likely to
happen when I appear to the court
clerks office ?

In Idaho, use or possession of paraphernalia is a misdemeanor punishable by up to one year imprisonment and/or a fine of up to one thousand dollars.
Since this is your first offense, you may receive less than the maximum penalties because the language is "up to" one year and/or "up to" one thousand dollars.  Most likely, you will receive a fine without imprisonment.
