Leaving the US while visa status changing application in pending

I have L-1 visa status. On 09/20 employment will be terminated. Due to circumstances I have to leave the U.S. on 11/30. I have B1/2 visa. What are the consequences if I file on time for visa status changing from L-1 to B1/2 but leave the U.S. on 11/30/ before USCIS makes a decision on my application? In my application I will indicate this date, 11/30.

Your B=2 will not be approved as a change of status since you will leave the US while it is pending.  However, the time you spend in the US after your L-1 expires will not be considered out of status time if you file for the change of status in a timely manner.
