Is there anything illegal about a prospective employer demanding a list of EVERY past job a person has ever held?

At the very least, this practice is exceedingly time-consuming. At the very worst it is near impossible for older workers or anyone who has a long list of previous jobs.

Example if following the online job application to the letter, the employer would want the time frame, pay, supervisor’s name, etc. for the paper route I held at age 14-15 ?. Madness.

No, it is not illegal: there is nothing illegally discriminatory in yhis sort of requirement; it is only an elaboration or extension of the near-universal practice of employers asking about candidate's work history or experience; and employers are free to set their hiring requirements, as long as their us no illegal discrimination going on.
