Is there anything I can do about my boss bullying me at work?
I work as an animal nurse for a small clinic and my boss bullies me everyday. It is starting to negatively effect my mental health. The stress is also starting to effect my physical health. he is verbally abusive to me. there are not many employees at this clinic and the other nurses and hiring manager know what’s happening but they can’t do anything without fear of being professionally blacklisted in my city. There doesn’t seem to be anything strictly illegal that he is doing but I have the right to a safe workplace.

Unless your treatment stems from some form of legally actionable discrimination, you do not have a claim for a "hostile work enviornment". For that, you would have to be the victim of your boss's bullying and verbal abuse due to you race, religion, etc. and you gave no indication of that. Also, if these actions in way violate the terms of an employment contract or union agreement, then you would have a case. Otherwise, as an "at will" worker, your boss is free to set the conditons of your employment much as he sees fit.
