Is my company Violating my employment contract?

My company hired me as a part time employee 3
years ago. In my contract it said I was
guaranteed 20 plus hours a week. But now
they’re saying that is equivalent to 80 hours
every 4 weeks. So now they can schedule us 30
hours on week one, 30 hours on week 2, in 10
hours each on weeks 3 and 4. Before now if they
needed me they would have scheduled me 30 hours
30 hours 20 hours 20 hours. They have
effectively found a loophole to cut my hours. I
wanted to know if this was possibly a legal
breach of contract

Not seeing the exact wording of the contract, we cannot answer 100% definitively, since each contract is enforced according to its own plain language. But that said, typically, a guaranty of 20 hours per week is a guaranty of 20 hours each week. If the guaranty was of 80 hours ever four weeks, it would have been phrased that way: e.g. "Employee is guaranteed 80 hour of work each four-week period." Contracts are enforced, as stated, as per what they plainly say: if it says you get 20 hours per week, then you get 20 hours each week. Failure to do so would be a breach of contract.
