It would be advisable to speak with a personal injury attorney because the at-fault party's insurance company will try to pay as little as possible to settle the case.
In addition, with representation from a personal injury attorney, the attorney may be able to refer you to a doctor who agrees to provide medical treatment pursuant to a lien which means the doctor is paid out of the settlement of the case.
