n some states, employers may mandate that employees to use direct deposit but the employee must be allowed to choose the financial institution to which the money will be deposited. However, in other states, requiring direct deposit is prohibited; the written permission of the employee is neededed before direct deposit is allowed (the same holds true for paycards). In FL, my research suggets that the state stae follows the latter view, direct deposit cannot be mandated, an employee must agree to it.
