What to do if my insurer refused to renew my policy after I filed a claim?

I have them for over 9 years and had no losses on my policy. After I submitted a complaint with the insurance commissioner they decided to renew my policy but it’s 14 days after my policy has expired and I have no renewal paperwork. I don’t know if I’m covered at this point. They also increased my premiums and decreased property coverage for $230,000 and is not an actual cash policy versus replaceable cost policy as before.

Find a new insurance company.  They are within their right  to deny coverage. You shoudl try to renew and, if denied,s eek an explanation from the insurance company.
