Can rent-a-center file theft charges, if you lost all your possessions to a storage unit auction?

If the rent a center knows that there has been a theft on its premises of items belonging to a client it can file a police report over the incident. As to a banktruptcy filing remedying a theft situation, ordinarily bankruptcy laws will not allow a discharge in such a situation.
