Is a landlord mandated by law to send your lease through mail?

I am having problem with a landlord that I told them I would like to go and sign and pick up my lease personally because I don’t want it to be delivered by mail but they keep telling me that they have to send me the lease through mail by law. I never heard of this one, can anybody point me out to this “law” so that I could read and learn about it?

No, there is no law requiring that a lease be sent you by mail. However, the landlord could also refuse to do other than send it by mail--there is similarly no law giving the renter the right to pick up and sign the lease in person. This is simply something you and the landlord must work out between the two of you.
