Is it legal for loan companies to call your place of employment and harass you and your employer?

And also, to divulge personal info to people at your place of employment?

Your creditor can but companies like third party collection companies cannot. There is the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act but it probably won't apply to your situation.  If you determine this is unacceptable behavior and harassing, you can write to the company to have them cease contacting you at work.  File a complaint with the entity who regulates this loan company and see if that will also help resolve this matter for you.
