If my dui/injury case is dismissed can I still be sued for punitive damages?

I have been charged with dui causing injury in california. If my case is
dismissed can I still be sued for punitive damages in civil court?

Your criminal case is separate from a civil case (lawsuit).
Therefore, you can be sued and the injured party can seek punitive damages.  Your liability will also include the medical bills, pain and suffering (an amount in addition to the medical bills) and wage loss.
