If I opt to take an Early retirement offered by company while on Workers comp, am i still elligible for settlement money if I am retired .

My company is offering a early retirement plan to employees to take advantage of to off set cost due to the economy and help avoid lay offs. I am currently on Workers Comp . I am having surgery for my ankle injury and will not be relesed anytime soon. If I opt for the early retirement while still on workers Comp will I still be eligable for settlement money and coverage ?

This is FAR too important a decision to rely on this service for. Ask your worker's comp lawyer and try to get the company's HR department to give you a written explanation of your rights.
