IfI bought a car and the seller filed bankruptcy, how doI get the pink slip?

I bought a car and got a bill of sale and all. But the seller informed us that the pink slip was in another state and he would mail it to us. After a few months and failed attempts of getting a hold of him, we were notified by the bank he was filing bankruptcy and that the had a loan on it. Now how do I go about getting the pink slip to the car.

Honestly, you may have been scammed.  You need to consider that possiblity.  Contact the trustee in the case and explain your situation.  However, the car has a lien which is in default, and the car will be on a repo list.  There may be nothing you can do about it.
