If I am removed from my home against my will in handcuffs because the police believe I am “AMS”, am I responsable for the hospital bill?

Yes. If you are taken away by law enforcement against your will because it is believed that you may be in danger or you may harm yourself and you are hospitalized, you are ultimately responsible for the medical/hospital bill legally.

The issue is do you have insurance to cover the bill and if not, can you pay for it?
